Note: For Student Groups

How campus clubs and student organizations should set up Motivz.

Student groups — campus clubs, fraternities and sororities, and university event committees — use the same organizer tools as any other organization on Motivz. There is no separate student account type. This page collects the setup choices that come up most often for campus organizers.

  1. Create the organization under the group, not a person

Register the club itself as the organization so the profile outlives any single member. See Create an organization. Note that this is only your Motivz profile — it is a name, handle, and logo, and it does not require the club to be a registered legal entity. Stripe is the separate step that asks for legal and financial details, and because most student groups have no incorporation paperwork or EIN to hand over, we recommend onboarding there as an Individual. Your events and ticket sales still belong to the group's organization profile either way.
  2. Add the exec board as team members

Invite the officers who need to run events, scan at the door, or view payouts instead of sharing one login. See Invite team members.
  3. Pick the right ticketing mode

Free socials and interest meetings work as RSVP events with no Stripe setup. Only mixers, formals, and other paid events need Stripe Connect. See Sell tickets.
