Get started

Set up Stripe Connect

Connect Stripe so your organization can receive payouts from ticket sales.

Motivz uses Stripe Connect Express so ticket revenue can be paid out to your organization's bank account. Setup is hosted by Stripe — you do not need a separate Stripe account before starting.

You only need Stripe for paid tickets sold through Motivz. Free RSVP events and events with an external ticket link do not require payouts setup.

  1. Open your organization dashboard

    In the app, go to the Create tab → Dashboard while operating as your organization.

  2. Go to Payouts

    Tap Payouts on the dashboard. This opens your organization's payout status screen.

  1. Accept organizer terms

    Before your first payout setup, read and accept the Motivz Terms of Service and Organizer Ticketing Agreement on the Payouts screen.

  2. Complete Stripe onboarding

    Tap Enable payouts. Motivz opens Stripe's hosted onboarding in your browser. Provide the business and banking details Stripe requests (identity verification, bank account, etc.).

  1. Return to the app

    When you finish or leave Stripe, return to Motivz. Tap Refresh status if needed. When payouts are fully enabled, the screen shows Payouts enabled.

Payout status

  • Enable payouts — no Stripe account connected yet; start onboarding.
  • Action required — Stripe needs more information before payouts can be enabled. Tap Continue Stripe setup.
  • Payouts enabled — ready to sell paid tickets. You can open the Stripe Express dashboard to view balance and payout history.
